Martha has been fortunate to work in higher education for the past 6 years in a mental health, disability services, advising and career counseling role. From professional and personal experience Martha has witnessed many times how the right support can make a significant impact on a students’ journey in college. 

Martha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and Masters of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University. Martha is also a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas (Connecticut pending) and is certified in EMDR (Trauma Therapy). EMDR can be utilized to address trauma, depression, anxiety, fears and more. Martha has also been in the NEAR Model of Cognitive Remediation.

With roots in Connecticut, Martha moved to Texas 3 years ago and lives with her husband, son and pup Ella in Dallas Fort-Worth area. Martha is the founder of private practice, Support Space Therapy and Wellness and continues to work part-time at Dallas Community College.
